There is a huge police presence in York today as the city prepares to welcome the King.
Roads are closed around York Minster, where the King and Queen Camilla are to attend the Maundy Service later this morning and hand out the Maundy money.
The first well wishers were lining the crash barriers by 8am.

Those attending the service were also started to arrive.
As well as attending the Minster service, the King and Queen will also open the York Minster Refectory, the new restaurant created in the old school buildings.
These are the roads closed today:
- College Street
- Deangate (from Minster Yard to Goodramgate)
- Duncombe Place
- High Petergate (from Bootham Bar to Grape Lane)
- Minster Yard
- Minster Gates
- Precentor’s Court
- Stonegate.
We will be live blogging the royal visit. Join us!
