York experienced heavy snow showers this morning (Wednesday) – and there may be more to come.
The snow came down across the city before coming to a halt again at lunchtime. Snow was also reported in Selby and elsewhere across North Yorkshire.
It has given a light dusting to buildings and parks, but has not settled on busy pavements and there is no weather disruption on roads.
YorkMix photographer Richard McDougall braved the wintry conditions to take these pictures of the York snowfall.
Forecasters are predicting more potential snow in York tonight, with sleet showers over the next few days.
Temperatures are due to drop to -1˚C tonight, with a maximum of 4˚C tomorrow. The lowest temperature of the week is set to be on Friday night at -4˚C.
