A person has been hit by a train near Northallerton this morning.
Emergency services have been at the scene near the town’s railway station.
The incident has caused major disruption between York and Darlington.

Lines have now reopened, but disruption will continue until midday.
National Rail said: “The emergency services have completed their work following an earlier incident where a person was hit by a train.
“This has allowed all lines between York and Darlington / Middlesbrough to reopen. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.”
