A man has been seriously injured following a collision in York yesterday evening.
It happened at 6.55pm on Museum Street and involved a grey Citroen C1 and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and he was taken to York Hospital.
Emergency services were at the scene and the road was closed for around four hours.
This was whilst officers investigated the scene and the vehicle involved was recovered.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the incident, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
