Passenger stopped for drug offence after bus driver’s vigilance

A bus driver flagged down a police officer after suspecting a passenger may have been carrying drugs.

The driver of the Coastliner double decker near York Station told the officer of their suspicions that a passenger was carrying cannabis.

The officer tweeted: “The passenger was removed from the bus, searched, drugs seized, interviewed and given a cannabis warning.”
