The Met Office has this morning (Thursday) updated its weather warnings for the oncoming Storm Babet.
We reported earlier in the week that there was a yellow warning for rain affecting York and North Yorkshire. That is now in force from midnight tomorrow (Friday, 20 October) to 6am on Saturday.
Now an amber warning for rain has been added, running from midday tomorrow to 6am on Saturday.

The amber warning affects the west of the county, including Harrogate, Masham, Leyburn and the Yorkshire Dales.
As for the yellow wind warning, that impacts the north east of the county, including Helmsley and Pickering, as well as Scarborough and all of the coast. It is in force from midday tomorrow to midday on Saturday.
Storm Babet hit Ireland on Wednesday after sweeping in from the Atlantic, bringing with it heavy rainfall and causing extensive flooding in parts of the country.
Members of the Irish Defence Forces were deployed in the town of Midleton, Co Cork in the south of Ireland, where more than 100 properties were flooded.
