Passengers were given oxygen after a bus and a car collided in York this afternoon (Saturday).
The collision happened at about 2.07pm on Julia Avenue, Monks Cross, Huntington.
Emergency services went to the scene.
Two fire crews, from York and Acomb, attended. They said a man was unable to get out of the car. They used “crew power” to lift him out.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “No serious injuries occurred but crews did administer oxygen to four casualties including two elderly bus passengers and two children bus passengers.”
For a while, Jockey Lane was closed by the crash. First York number 9 park and ride buses couldn’t reach the Monks Cross shopping centre.
The road has now been cleared.
