Overnight motorway closures planned

Engineers are renewing the parapets on three bridges that carry the M62 over the A162 Ferrybridge Interchange.

They plan to finish on the week ending 28 April 2023 and are working Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays over the Easter period.

They work during the day under a mix of hard shoulder and lane 1 closures, both on the M62 and A162.

However there are another TWO overnight closures to watch out for,

These will run from 8pm until 6am.

M62 eastbound closure – Junction 33 – Monday 24 April

M62 westbound closure – Junction 33 – Tuesday 25 April

During overnight closures a fully signed diversion taking traffic off at the exit slip road and then back onto the entry slip at Ferrybridge will be in place.

National Highways Yorkshire says: “We are mindful that this work combined with other projects close by may cause some delay during closures.

“We have worked across all projects to minimise the impact on customers as much as we can.

“We apologise in advance to customers who may be affected and thank you for your patience while this essential work is completed.”
