‘Outrageous’ gin and drag cabaret comes to York – for one night only

Move over Guy Fawkes and Dick Turpin – there’s a new outlaw on the block.

York is a city that’s no stranger to outlaws – and time to add a new one to the mix as cabaret superstar Velma Celli will host an evening of song, laughter and gin for one night only.

In collaboration with York Gin, the evening will celebrate all that’s naughty, villainous and outrageous about York and its outlaws.

Velma will be starring at ‘Outlaw Live!’ on Friday 25 March at the National Centre for Early Music.

Velma has wowed audiences around the world and is hailed as ‘a true icon of drag’.

Harri Marshall, events coordinator at York Gin, said: “You can celebrate your inner outlaw as Velma and friends unleash a riot of glamorous outrage.

“It’s going to be an epic night for anyone who loves cabaret, drag and York Gin.”

Tickets are £35 and includes a special York Gin Outlaw cocktail on entry. York Gin’s Outlaw gin was inspired by the outlaws of York.
