One person treated by paramedics after fire at York house
One person needed medical treatment after a fire in York.
Firefighters were called to a property on Fifth Avenue at 12.20am today (Thursday).
A mattress and quad bike were on fire in the rear yard of an unoccupied property.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews extinguished the fire and treated a person, who had attempted to tackle the fire, for smoke inhalation.
“They were handed over to ambulance crew for a precautionary check.”
