One person was taken to hospital after a fire in York last night (Friday).
Fire crews were called to the incident on Blossom Street at 10.47pm.
Witnesses said smoke could be seen coming from an upstairs window of the Bay Horse on Blossom Street.


A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a flat.
“The crew extinguished the fire and one person was transported to hospital by ambulance crews for possible smoke inhalalation.”
The witness said the pub wasn’t open at the time.
