He is one of the breakout stars of TikTok.
Francis Bourgeois has more than 2.5m followers and his videos have 370m views on the social media channel, thanks to his passion for trainspotting.
His enthusiastic and knowledgable videos, posted from railway stations around the country, have made him a huge cult hit.
His love of trains made it inevitable that he would come to York. And last Thursday he did.
Francis, real name Luke Nicholson, went on a tour of the National Railway Museum – where else?
He was shown round by Josh Chapman, the NRM’s communication officer, who labelled it his “Best. Day. Ever.”
Josh told YorkMix: “Francis was just on a visit to the museum, mainly looking at our diesel collection!”

It was a day for stars at the NRM. Alongside Francis were two stars of good old traditional telly.
Stand up comedian and presenter of Channel 4’s The Last Leg was looking around the exhibits.
As was Andi Oliver, the chef and presenter of the Great British Menu on BBC One.
