It must be nearly summer as the Thor’s bar team has announced a return to York.
The bars will be at two locations this summer, with a brand new Orangery-style structure on Parliament Street that’s exclusive to York.
“This year we’re building a new and exciting bar in Parliament Street,” said Amanda Monaghan, director of Thor’s, “with atrium, florals and of course our famous fire pits.”
There will also be DJ sets and live music to enjoy, as well as tasty street food from local vendors including Yuzu Street Food and Millers Fish and Chips.
The Ibiza-inspired Sol Ast bar will be returning to the grounds of the Principal Hotel, with cabanas, a ‘naked tipi’ and delicious Portuguese-cuisine from Frango Eduardo.
There’s also a brand new drinks menu for each location.

“There’ll be our famous frozen cocktails which always go down a storm,” said Thor’s mixologist Boz McFadden.
Flavours include a strawberry and watermelon mojito and a raspberry and passionfruit martini.
Sol Ast at the Principal Hotel will open on Wednesday 1 June – just in time for the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. Thor’s on Parliament Street will open on Friday 24 June.
