A fire in a vehicle compound caused extensive damage last night (Saturday).
Firefighters from Northallerton and Thirsk responded to a report of a fire seen in the open on Station Road, Brompton, near Northallerton, at 10.13pm.
They discovered five vehicles on fire within a commercial compound.
Crews put out the fire.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Three vehicles suffered 100% fire damage, three vehicles suffered 50% fire damage and a further three vehicles suffered heat and smoke damage.”
