A big push to get more over-18s vaccinated is underway, as York’s Covid-19 case rate soars.
The city now has a seven-day case rate of 145.3 new cases per 100,000, higher than both the English national average (101.5) and the Yorkshire and Humber average (112.7).
Altogether 423 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last week – up 244 (136.3%) week on week.
