Police are appealing for witnesses after another sexual assault in York – the third in three days.
Officers are now asking people to be vigilant, “and where possible for women to avoid walking alone late at night”.
In the latest incident an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the Navigation Road area of York.
The woman was walking along Navigation Road at around 12.30am Tuesday (September 26).
As she approached the bridge, a man approached her and grabbed her bottom and spoke into her ear. He then ran off.
Detectives have issued this description of her attacker.

Anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or seen a man matching the description who was acting suspiciously, is asked to contact police.

The latest incident comes after two attacks on Sunday in York.
In the first, at about 8.50pm, a woman in her twenties fought off an assailant on Melrosegate.
And at 10pm, a woman suffered a serious sexual assault on Bootham.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police are requesting the public to remain vigilant and where possible for women to avoid walking alone late at night.
“To reassure the local community, extra patrols will be taking place in and around the local area.”
