The new shop coming to York Station has been revealed.
It will be in the left hand corner unit close to the entrance.
That has been empty since York Gin left in 2023, citing the reduced footfall caused by train strikes and changed commuter patterns.
Now it is set to be home to a West Cornwall Pasty Co shop.
It sells a range of pasties, with fillings including beef, vegan steakless and of course a traditional Cornish pasty.
Designs for the new shop have been submitted as part of a planning application.
It will have a long counter with the hot pasties, and a row of seats on the back wall.
Planning documents says: “The design is to install a West Cornwall Pasty Retail unit with a limited budget to the latest brand standard.

“The internal layout of the West Cornwall Pasty shop is altered to accommodate the new brand, however very minimal changes are proposed. There is no impact on the special character and appearance of the building in terms of layout.”
Work will include laying a new floor, painting the interior yellow, installing new track lighting and putting in a partition wall.
