A new shop will soon open its doors in York – and they’re now recruiting staff.
Country Traditionals is set to move into Colliergate, in the unit previously home to Harry Nicholas hairdressing, between the GR8escape Escape Room and Tullivers health food shop.
It sells handcrafted stoneware.
A sign in the window says it is the UK’s largest Polish pottery importer. “Country Traditionals have been importing and selling this amazing range of Polish stoneware for many years,” the sign says.
“Our range is made at the world-famous Ceramika Artystyczna pottery works – the oldest, and we believe, the best pottery workshop in the Boleslawiec region, which is renowned for this type of pottery.”
It will be the Lincolnshire company’s third standalone shop. It also sells its range of mugs, cups and jugs, plates, bowls, teapots and kitchenware online.
The shop is now recruiting retail shop assistants. A notice on the door says: “Previous retail experience – ideally within the independent retail sector. Minimum 5 years’ retail experience.
“You need to be friendly and give amazing customer service. Self motivated & have a ‘can do’ attitude.
“Able to work on own with key holder duties. Full day shifts 10am-5.30 pm including alternate weekends. Starting pay £10 p/h”
