If you love your sushi, this is for you.
A Japanese restaurant is set to open on Lendal next month.
Sushi & Bowl is taking over the former shop vacated by fashion store Wild & Westbrooke when it moved to Stonegate.
Sushi & Bowl describes itself as authentically Japanese, saying: “We have an exciting, healthy, and creative range of Japanese fusion cuisine on offer, each with a touch of Western influence.”
It will serve dishes including poke sashimi and donburi rice bowls.
As YorkMix revealed in February, the parent company of the restaurant, York Sushi Ltd, applied for a licence to serve alcohol until 10pm on Monday to Thursday, until 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 9.30pm on Sunday.
The company says they would cater for 25 to 30 customers on the ground floor, and 16 to 20 customers on the first floor.
Sushi & Bowl is due to open on Tuesday 9 May.
