A new Greek taverna and bar has now opened its doors in York.
Inos is the sister restaurant to Greek street food vendors Sasa in Spark.
It’s serving up some similarly delicious Greek cuisine in its new place on Piccadilly, after it was transformed from the Piccadilly Café Bar and Escape Rooms..
The restaurant had a soft launch last weekend, before officially opening yesterday (Thursday).
Inos and Sasa are owned by Martin Tsatsas.
The menu for Inos includes tasty Greek dishes such as homemade bread and pitta (£6), moschopolis (whipped feta, £8.50), Greek salad (£11.50), moussaka (£19), chicken souvlaki (£12), loukaniko (smoked pork sausages, £12), baklava (£8), and portokalopita (syrupy orange pie, £8).
There’s also a huge wine list, as well as soft drinks, spirits, beer, and cocktails – including Greek Fizz (with tsipouro, mastiha, and pink grapefruit, £10), and Ouzo Summer (with gin, ouzo, and lime, £10).

Inos is the the latest in Spark York-incubated businesses moving into its own bricks-and-mortar premises, following in the footsteps of the likes of Tasca Frango and Clucking Oinks.
It’s also adding to Piccadilly as a foodie spot, joining places like Spark itself, Cresci Pizza, German Doner Kebab, and Pepe’s Piri Piri.
Inos is open Wednesday to Fridays from 5pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 12pm to 10pm, and Sundays from 12pm to 8pm. Stay up to date with Inos at their Instagram page here.
