International fashion and fitness brand Sweaty Betty is moving in to Stonegate.
The retailer, which specialises in active wear for women, is taking over number 9 Stonegate next to the Punch Bowl pub. The shop was previously home to stationer Tinc.
Sweaty Betty was started by Tamara Hill-Norton and her husband Simon in Notting Hill, London, in 1998. It now has more than 50 stores, mostly in the UK but some in the United States.
Hiring staff
Its clothing is aimed in “transforming activewear into clothing that makes you feel powerful and beautiful,” says Tamara.
Among its range are outfits designed for working out, running, yoga, skiing, tennis and swimming.
The shop is now being advertised in the shop window via vinyls designed by York Digital Image.
It is also hiring staff: for more details go to sweatybetty.com/team.
Sweaty Betty is opening almost opposite another newcomer to Stonegate.
The Cheese And Wine Emporium is due to open at number 6 Stonegate before Easter. So you could shop for your cheddar and Rioja there, and then burn off the calories added in the fitness gear from Sweaty Betty.
