The Connect Festival is bringing a host of cultural creativity to York this month.
Hosted by Four Wheel Drive Theatre, the event will connect city creatives with like-minded individuals and industry experts.
And it will encourage networking across disciplines, as live arts, digital media and innovative technology will join together to celebrate creative communities in York.
Connect runs at the Theatre @41 Monkgate from 19 to 23 July.
There will be masterclasses, workshops, networking events and panels during the day and early evening will offer local creatives the chance to broaden their horizons, and network with others who share the same passions.
The evenings will feature live performances, and on selected days, late-night entertainment will follow.
Friday evening’s two comedies will be followed by dazzling burlesque performances in ‘A Night with York’s Stars’ offering glitz, glamour and the gorgeous Freida Nipples.
Saturday’s LGBTQ+ performances will be followed by the iconic Family Shambles Drag troupe.
Co-producer Anna Gallon is passionate about welcoming everyone to the festival, be they from a theatrical background or not.
“If you want to pursue your creativity, then my question would be why not? This is a positive and inspiring space where we want to know what you are creating and what you are interested in.”
