If you’re a burger fan, you don’t have long to wait to try the latest in beef and bun combinations.
American fast food outlet Wendy’s has announced its opening date.
For the past few weeks, work has been underway to convert the former TM Lewin shop on St Sampson’s Square into a burger joint.
Now, as our pictures show, it’s nearly ready.
And Wendy’s have shared on social media that it’s set to open to customers on Thursday, 19 June.

Famous for its square burgers, Wendy’s will also serve brand favourites like the ‘Baconator’ – a burger with crispy Applewood smoked bacon – the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and creamy Frosty dessert.
The firm, which began in Ohio, USA, in 1969, says the new branch will create more than 30 jobs.
