If the first thing you look at on a restaurant menu is the desserts section, boy, do we have some news for you…
A new place specialising in puddings is opening in York next week.
Whipped is due to open in the former Subway on Clifford Street on Wednesday, 10 November.
It has been in the works since summer 2020, and was originally going to be called Milky Way.
You can expect all sorts of sweet treats, including shakes, cheesecakes, waffles, ice cream and zalabiya, a dessert made from a type of fried dough similar to a doughnut.

Whipped is launching with a competition to win £200 to spend in the café. Check it out on their Facebook page here.
That page also showcases some of their mouthwatering morsels, from a Kinder Bueno stack to a cookies and cream waffle.
Whipped will be open daily from noon till 9pm.
