Independent burger chain Fat Hippo are bringing their epic burgers and loaded fries to York later this year.
Specialising in ‘roll up your sleeves and get it all over your face food’, the burger joint will be opening their brand new restaurant at the former Jimmy’s site on Low Petergate.
This will be Fat Hippo’s fifteenth UK location and fourth Yorkshire location.
Michael Phillips, the company’s managing director, who founded Fat Hippo in 2010 said: “We couldn’t turn down the opportunity to open Fat Hippo in York city centre, especially as the building on Low Petergate is the perfect location for our brand new restaurant.”
The menu features their signature beef and boneless buttermilk chicken patties as well as a carefully designed range of vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Fat Hippo are known for their quality ingredients and quirky flavours – such as their PB+JJ, a double beef burger topped with peanut butter and bacon jam.
An official opening date is yet to be announced but visit Fat Hippo’s website for a preview of the yumminess to come…
