Fancy a taste of Italy to go with your shopping trip to York’s new Vangarde Shopping Park? Well, hey Prezzo, your wish will soon be granted.
On Wednesday, June 11, the 200th Prezzo restaurant will open at the shopping centre after the company invested £700,000 into the venue.
With enough room for 182 diners and an outside garden terrace, the restaurant is the latest food offer at the park.
Giraffe, Ed’s Easy Diner and Frankie & Benny’s are already open, with a Nando’s to follow in July.
“We opened our first Prezzo on New Oxford Street, London in 2002 and we’ve come a long way since then,” said founder of Prezzo Jonathan Kaye.
“We’re thrilled to officially open our 200th restaurant here in the prestigious city of York.
“All of our Prezzo restaurants are individually designed and our York Prezzo is no different. We’ve even created a special champagne cocktail to mark the occasion, the Prezzillini Minster.”
The new restaurant has created 50 jobs and will open from noon-11pm Monday to Saturday, and noon to 10.30pm on Sundays. It is a sister venue to the Prezzo already operating on Clifford Street in York city centre.
Vangarde Shopping Park, home to York’s first John Lewis department store, the region’s largest M&S store and a big Next store, opened in April.
