Following the discovery of a body inside a property on Fourth Avenue in York last month we are now in a position to confirm that it was sadly 25-year-old Claire Lucas from York.
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding Claire’s death and we continue to appeal to anyone who has any information to contact us, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
Did you speak to Claire in the days before her death? Did you see anything untoward on Fourth Avenue on the evening of Saturday 30 June or in the early hours of Sunday 1 July? If so, we would urge you to come forward.
Our thoughts are with Claire’s family at this difficult time and I would ask for their privacy to be respected.
