A multi-vehicle crash caused traffic congestion in York tonight (Wednesday).
It was on the A64 westbound between the A1237 near York and the A659 Tadcaster East turn off.
The incident is now over and the road has reopened.

National Highways Yorkshire posted at 6.10pm: “Traffic is passing the scene slowly.
“There are delays of up to 45 minutes, and approximately 3.5 miles of congestion.”
At the same time the AA reported severe delays on the A64 Westbound between the A1079 Hull Road Grimston Bar Interchange and Bilbrough Top.
National Highways Yorkshire said the road had fully reopened at 8.30pm
