A driver has been arrested after three vehicles were involved in a crash on the A1M at Leeming just before 10am Friday morning (22 January).
Fortunately there were no injuries but one driver has been taken into custody on suspicion of drink driving.
The accident on the northbound carriageway involved a car, a lorry and a van.
Police say he has now tested and been shown to be THREE times over the alcohol limit .
Police say he will will be interviewed in due course once sober.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and Highways Yorkshire also had to deal with a fuel spillage on the carriageway.
