A woman was punched in a street attack in front of her daughter.
It happened on Wilberforce Avenue in York at approximately 4.45pm on Sunday, 20 September.
The victim was a 32-year-old woman from York, who was punched whilst with her 15-year-old daughter.
The woman was left “understandably shaken” by the incident, a North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said. Fortunately, she escaped serious injury.
Three women aged 22, 23 and 25 have been questioned in relation to the matter, and released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
The spokeswoman said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information about the assault and anybody who may have witnessed it.”
