A man caught on CCTV in York has been identified as Rory Johnson by members of his family.

Police confirmed on Thursday (November 26) that the footage shows Rory in the City Mills area of York.

The search for Rory resumed today, more than six days after he was last seen after leaving the Travelodge Hotel on Piccadilly at 12.30am on Friday, November 20.

The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Underwater Search Team returned on Thursday (November 26) to continue their searches of the River Ouse in York.

Several dives in the river near Skeldergate Bridge in recent days have failed to turn up any evidence as to what has happened to Rory, 29, from Skipton.

York Rescue Boat has also been out assisting in the search.
