The case of Rory Johnson Hatfield is getting media attention in Ireland.
He disappeared on a night out in York in November 2015 and hasn’t been seen since.
Police think he may have fallen in the flood swollen River Ouse.
His family is not so sure. Rory’s mother Liz Johnson says she feels he is still alive and the family are now investigating the possibility that he may have gone to the rural West Cork area, known as a place where people can quickly go off radar.
Liz says Rory would have known all about the area because of his cousins’ links to West Cork
The case will be featured on a midmorning radio talk show on Cork 96FM this week.
