Police are urging everyone to look out for a missing man believed to be in York.
Matthew Dillon has been missing from his home in Merseyside since Monday, 2 January
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Information suggests he may have been in York. He may be staying in hotels, B&Bs or pubs.”
His sister, Lizzy Hankinson, posted on Facebook: “We now have new information that Matt has been in York in the days since his disappearance.
“We have verified a CCTV image of him in a pub.”
She said it is “completely out of character for him to do this. His phone battery has gone so we have no way of contacting him and he is not at work.”
He is 46 and 6ft 1in tall.
Any sightings call 101, or 999 in an emergency. The police reference number is NYP-07012023-0137.
