‘Mindless vandals’ damage York children’s play area
Police described people who damaged a children’s play area in York as ‘mindless vandals’.
They are appealing for information and witnesses to help their investigation into criminal damage at the play area on the Ethel Ward playing fields in Haxby.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The damage is believed to have occurred around the evening of Tuesday, 28 February.
“Bins were damaged and knocked over, and safety matting ripped up.
“If you saw anything, or know who is responsible, please contact the police.”
