The Great British Bake Off star Kim-Joy is in York this weekend – to sign copies of her new book.
The baker and writer will be at Travelling Man in York on Saturday 22 April at 4pm to sign copies of her new kitty-themed book Bake Me a Cat.
The cookbook will contain a collection of 50 cat themed-creations – from Tiger Buns to Meow Bao to Kit-tea Scones.
Kim-Joy appeared on the ninth series of The Great British Bake Off in 2018 and reached all the way to the final, where she became one of two runners-up alongside Ruby Bhogal – with Rahul Mandal winning the series.
She also went on to win The Great New Year Bake Off special in 2022.
Since her time on Bake Off, Kim-Joy has written three cookbooks and as of 2021 is a baking columnist for The Guardian.
Kim-Joy is known for her signature beautiful and adorable animal-themed bakes – and Bake Me a Cat will show you how to make the cutest bakes with recipes for cakes, cookies, desserts, breads and more.
Kim-Joy also has a personal connection to the store chain Travelling Man – as it was where she met her partner Nabil Homsi, who is the founder of the graphic novels and boardgames enterprise.
Books will be available for purchase in store, and Travelling Man advise to arrive early to avoid disappointment. Find out more at the event page here.
