Global politics, crime and photography – three of the big topics at a new celebration of books.
The York Literature Festival Autumn Programme brings big names to the city, including actor David Suchet, journalist Misha Glenny and thriller writer Peter Robinson.
Glenny, who wrote BBC One drama McMafia, has interviewed everyone from Clinton to Putin, including Boris Johnson. He will be talking Russia, China, Trump – and Brexit.
Actor and TV star David Suchet, meanwhile, is talking about his life behind the lens – as a gifted photographer.
An additional event to the main Lit Fest in March, the autumn programme promises fascinating talks, interviews and readings. Here are the highlights.
