A police officer was attacked and a man taken to hospital after a mass confrontation in York.
It happened in the Tang Hall area on Friday (26 July) at about 9pm.
Police have launched an investigation and are asking witnesses to come forward.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended and on arrival separated a large group of people.
“One person was conveyed to hospital with facial injuries and a police officer was assaulted whilst dealing with the incident.
“A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. He was interviewed and later charged.”
