A North Yorkshire supermarket was targeted by masked men wielding a crowbar.
The Co-op store in Market Place, Helmsley, was raided at about 2.30am on Sunday (30 July).
Three men dressed in dark clothing and face coverings broke into the front entrance of the store using a crowbar.
Police say this is thought to have triggered the security alarm.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact them.
