Armed police are searching York for two wanted men today (Sunday).

Police have issued an urgent appeal to find the men, who are wanted in connection with the corrosive substance attack on Friday.

It is a believed a corrosive substance was thrown at the victim who had to undergo emergency treatment. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
