Police are investigating after a man spat at two young women in York.
The assault happened last Wednesday (12 February) at 9.15pm.
Two 19-year-old women were walking over the pedestrian bridge over the River Foss near Palmer Lane and Carmelite Street when it happened.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “An unknown male has spat directly at two females, landing on them.
“Police are seeking any information, witnesses and any CCTV/video footage.”
The man is described as:
- white
- around 6ft tall
- of skinny build
- aged mid 20s
- light or short hair or bald
- with a Yorkshire accent
- a large nose
- gappy/bad teeth
- with a distinctive swaying walk.
He was wearing a grey puffer jacket, black joggers and black trainers.
