Police released this CCTV image of a man they want to question in connection with an alleged assault in York.
The incident took place at 3.30am on Monday, August 22 at the Drawing Board bar on New Street.
The victim had been out drinking with his friends there. He went outside to have a cigarette in the outdoor smoking area and chatted to a woman.
He then approached a man who was also standing outside and kissed his back.
The man turned around and pushed the victim’s back, launching the man over a barrier and causing him to fall head-first.
He landed on the wine glass he was holding, which caused two deep lacerations to his arm which needed stitches.
The man who was kissed then made a homophobic comment to the victim.
Police would like to speak to a man in his late 20s, between 5ft 10in and 6ft 4in tall, of a very large muscular build with short brown hair.
He was wearing a white shirt, dark jeans and shoes.
If you recognise him or have any information about this incident, please contact North Yorkshire Police.
