A popular York steakhouse got a surprise visit this weekend – from a football star.
Casa Brazilian Rodizio had an exciting Bank Holiday weekend as they were paid a visit from Manchester United’s winger Antony.
The steakhouse on Micklegate is known for its ‘authentic Brazilian dining experience’, and was discovered by Brazil international Antony through its social media presence.
Antony – full name Antony Matheus dos Santos – signed a Manchester United shirt for owner Eduardo during his visit.
That adds to Casa’s growing list of football star encounters.
The restaurant also proudly displays a signed boot from another Brazilian football legend. World Cup winner Ronaldo.
Casa Brazilian Rodizio is a buffet restaurant, where a large selection of meat is served Brazilian-style tableside – with everything from tender cuts of prime beef like picanha and filet mignon, to sausages, chicken, lamb and pork.
There is also a seafood selection and an extensive salad bar. The handcrafted cocktail list features many of the classic favourites – including caipirinhas, the national cocktail of Brazil.
It is currently ranked as the #1 restaurant in York on TripAdvisor.
