A man has been charged with four offences following the incident at a doctors’ surgery.
YorkMix reported on Tuesday that the Ampleforth Surgery had been set on fire and a member of staff assaulted.
North Yorkshire Police said that a man had been arrested.

Today, the police said the man has been charged with four offences:
- Arson with intent to endanger life
- Assault causing actual bodily harm
- Affray
- Possession of a knife.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
