A man threatened to kill a member of staff at a York coffee shop – then punched her in the face.
Police are investigating the outbreak of violence which happened both inside and outside of Caffe Nero on Davygate at 12.32pm on Saturday (20 January).
The suspect assaulted a member of staff and threatened to shoot them.
He punched the woman worker, breaking her teeth.
A 64-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident and has been bailed with conditions.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We’d particularly like to hear from anyone who saw any part of the incident or if any weapons were seen.”
