Police have intervened following complaints that a man was taking pictures of women shoppers in York.
The issued was raised on a Facebook group, and brought to the attention of officers.
Police say they spoke to the photographer this afternoon and established it was all above board.
North Yorkshire Police posted a statement saying: “We have been made aware of a post on York Moan of a male taking photographs of women at Monks Cross shopping centre in York.
“We can assure people that this person has been stopped and spoken to by officers.
“We can confirm that this is not as first reported and the person was at Monks Cross legitimately working for the landlords of the retail park.
“He was taking pictures for promotional reasons.”
