Man taken to hospital after street attack in York suburb
Police are hunting an assailant who attacked a man with enough force to put him in hospital.
What officers are describing as a ‘serious assault’ took place on Tedder Road, Acomb, between 8pm and 8.15pm on Friday (24 February).
A man in his 50s was attacked. He required treatment in hospital for a broken cheek bone and broken nose.
Police have issued a description of the attacker. He is described as
- a white man
- about 170cm / 5ft 6in tall
- with a slim to stocky build
- wearing all black clothes
- and with short scruffy hair.
It’s also believed that he had a tattoo on his cheek.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
