A man was attacked on his way home from York and sustained what police are calling ‘significant facial injuries’.
The victim was assaulted by an unknown man at about 11.40pm on Saturday, July 11.
It happened near to the crossroads separating Monk Bar and Monkgate.
A police spokesperson said:
We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
