A man has suffered serious injuries after he was attacked on a York street earlier this week.
It happened on Scott Street at 3.20pm on Wednesday (26 April).
A man ran across Scarcroft Road, assaulted a man at the start of Scott Street, and then ran back over Scarcroft Road.
Where it happened
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim, a man in his 30s, has sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to York Hospital by police.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
They have issued a description of the suspect. He is:
- stocky
- around 6ft tall
- between 30 and 40 years old
- and was wearing a black T-shirt.
