Police have issued a public appeal after a man suffered serious head injuries in York city centre.
An incident occurred by the river on King’s Staith some time between 2.15am and 4am yesterday (Tuesday).
A man was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are at an early stage, and the circumstances of the incident are not yet known, so we are urging members of the public to come forward with any information.”
