A man was taken to hospital with suspected head injuries after falling from the roof of his home this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to the incident off Paragon Street at 3.27pm.
The elderly man had been on the roof of his bungalow cleaning, before he fell onto the paving below.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “He managed to get back in his property prior to collapsing behind the kitchen door.
“Crews gained access by removing the kitchen door and moved the casualty into the awaiting ambulance.
“He was then transported to hospital suffering suspected head, hip and pelvic injuries.”
